S. Elif Öztürk is an EU legal professional with recognition for Turkish jurisdiction. Her practise focuses on investment law both as national investor protection under various jurisdictions and international investment mechanisms, cross-border dispute resolution, international commercial and investment arbitration, corporate, commercial and contract law.
Elif has nearly seven years of experience as a government adviser on international treaty law, public law and general EU law and over six years of experience as an adviser on international and investment law for various multinational corporations.
She has performed monitoring and assessment of numerous Infrastructural and Rule of Law related projects, financed by World Bank, UNDP and EU.
Elif is former Adviser at The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and Adviser for Eurasia at the Energy Law Research Institute.
Her specific legal and project experience includes the Balkans and CIS Countries region.

Representing a Turkish company in GAFTA arbitration in relation to a dispute arising out of goods supply to an international organisation.
Counsel to a Turkish investor in settlement procedure with a Central Asian country.
Acting as an in-house counsel to a Turkish Group of Companies in an energy dispute before ICSID, Elif was part of the legal team that secured nearly US$30 million award in favour of the Turkish investor.
Advised the establishment of the Turkish Office of an independent international organisation with representative branches in six countries.
Represented a Turkish software solution provider in establishing a Joint Venture with a leading American IT Company for the purpose of government contracting.
Currently represents a group of international investors in settlement negotiations with one of the biggest financial groups in Turkey.
Counsel for Investor – Representing Turkish Group of Companies in ICSID annulment proceeding.
